I love Ghost in the Shell and I usually love Shirow's art, but this book was pretty terrible. The majority of this manga is, to put it bluntly, complete and utter crap. I really hate to give such a low rating to anything Ghost in the Shell, but this really deserved it. Two more volumes of Appleseed followed before he began work on Ghost in the Shell. After a professional reprint of Black Magic and a second volume of Appleseed, he released Dominion in 1986. ![]() The story was a sensation, and won the 1986 Seiun Award for Best Manga.
